Please enjoy this authentic chocolate recipe that is sure to keep you warm on a cold winter's day. You can even spread the warmth by sharing it with your friends and family too!
Vienna Style Hot Chocolate
1 quart milk
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
3 heaping Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
Chop the chocolate in fine bits. Heat the milk on the stove in a double boiler until it reaches the boiling point. In a separate pan, mix together the chocolate, sugar, vanilla and water. Stir over a hot fire until smooth and glossy. Stir this mixture into the hot milk, and beat well with a whisk. Serve at once, putting a tablespoonful of whipped cream in each cup and then filling with the chocolate.
