Share your ParkPaloooza 2009 photos and experiences by entering the ParkPalooza Photo Contest 2009. You can enter or participate as a judge.
The Photo Contest is featured on our Facebook Fan Page. Simply become a fan and either enter the contest or you can participate as a judge. See below for details to enter the contest.
How Do I Enter the Contest
Between September 12 and October 2 go to our Facebook Fan Page and become a fan. You can enter the contest by going to the Promotions tab where you will see the ParkPalooza Photo Contest. Follow the steps to enter - you can upload up to eight of your photo(s) from your ParkPalooza 2009 experience. Each submission must have a title and a description.
Image Requirements
All images should accurately depict the subject matter as it appeared.
Images submitted must be images with subject matter and content that accurately reflects the above contest descriptions.
Images entered should have a native resolution of at least 5 megapixels or greater.
Images must include a title and the description as noted above.
Judging, Winners, and Prizes
Photos entered into the ParkPalooza Photo Contest will be judged on subject matter, composition, technical excellence, visual impact, and originality. The judges will be Facebook fans who will determine the "People's Choice" for 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place. Judging can be done by following the steps to vote on our Facebook Fan Page in the Promotions tab. You can vote on three entries per day. Entries are by individual contestant - click on each entry to see if mulitple photos have been entered by a contestant and submit a vote for your choice of contestants. Any decision made by judges are final.
Winners will be selected for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place through public voting, which will take place on Facebook. The photos submitted with the most votes will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place respectively. Winners will be announced on our Facebook Fan Page.
1st Place - Kodak EasyShare 8.2 megapixel, 3 x optical zoom and Partner of the Parks Advocate Membership
2nd Place - REI Computer Quantum Messenger Bag and Partner of the Parks Steward Membership
3rd Place - REI Single Shot Waist Pack and Partner of the Parks National Parks Traveler Membership
Jefferson National Parks Association reserves the right to adjust any deadline dates as the result of causes beyond its immediate control.
