William Jefferson Clinton was inaugurated 42nd President of the United States in January 1993. Born in 1946, he is one of the youngest men to ever hold the office. In this charming collection, President Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, their daughter Chelsea, and the President's late mother, Mrs. Virginia Kelley, are depicted in four paper dolls and 29 costumes.
Noted paper doll artist Tom Tierny shows the President as he appeared throughout the inaugural festivities. Dressed in a tuxedo, he is carrying a favorite prop--his saxophone-- which he played during the Presidential Gala. The President is also depicted in business suits, golfing attire and summer and winter jogging outfits. Mrs. Clinton is shown in gowns and ensembles she chose for the Inaugural celebrations and ceremonies, including the spectacular blue-violet lace gown she wore for the principal Inaugural balls.
