This bowl is handmade in South Africa from recycled telephone wire. Plastic covered copper telephone wire comes in many colors, providing artisans with an infinite palette to weave into brilliant jewelry, bowls, and mbenges. Some pieces are vibrant swirls and zig zags while others tell an entire story in pictures. Each piece is the perfect combination of traditional weaving techniques and non-traditional material. The detail is exquisite with each piece expressing the limitless creativity of the artisan.
